Joseph completed his Bachelor of Laws at the University of Bristol where he graduated with a First Class Honours in 2014. During the course of his study, he was awarded the Routledge Book Prize and Dean’s Prize for being the overall best student in the first year. During his second year, he obtained the highest overall average score and was the best student in the subjects of Jurisprudence, European Union Law, and Crime, Justice & Society; he was awarded the Slaughter and May Prize as well as the Oxford University Press Prize.

Prior to commencing his Bachelor of Laws, Joseph also completed his Diploma in Law & Management (Merit) at Temasek Polytechnic in 2009. He was awarded the Singapore Academy of Law’s Gold Medal Prize for graduating as the top student of his class. Joseph also obtained numerous academic prizes throughout his three years for being the best student in various legal subjects, including Company Law, Shipping Law & Practice, and Arbitration.

Joseph completed both his Relevant Legal Training and Practice Training at Lexcompass LLC. He sees himself as a community lawyer and he believes that the privilege of being legally trained is a calling to serve. Joseph’s practical outlook and theoretical grounding enable him to analyse legal issues towards providing a solution tailored to a client’s needs. He is also dedicated towards assisting his client in obtaining a principled and just resolution of a dispute.
